Exposure During Pregnancy to Common Household Chemicals Associated with Substantial Drop in Child IQ. Children exposed during pregnancy to elevated levels of two common chemicals found in the home—di-n-butyl phthalate (DnBP) and di-isobutyl phthalate (DiBP)—had an IQ score, on average, more than six points lower than children exposed at lower levels, according to researchers at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.

This week, NASA reported that the Curiosity rover found organic molecules—spike of methane in the planet's atmosphere and carbon in Martian rock. Organic molecules are carbon- and often hydrogen-based compounds that make up living things. But they're also found elsewhere.

Research by Stanford economist Mark Duggan shows that the significant rise in disability coverage for veterans may be hurting them in making employment gains. The new work — which could help explain some basic physical mechanisms — reveals that this behavior is connected to a wide range of other seemingly unrelated phenomena.

Harvard to Participate in 2015 Diamond Head Classic HONOLULU, Hawai'i -  The field is set for the 2015 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawai'i. The field for the seventh annual event – to be played Dec. 22, 23 & 25, 2015 – includes Auburn, BYU, Harvard, New Mexico, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma, Washington State and tournament host school Hawai'i.
