On Monday, March 30, 2015, Cairo University Council has held its meeting, headed by Prof. Dr.\ Gaber Nassar, President of Cairo University, and attended by Prof. Dr.\ Sherif Hammad, Minister of Scientific Research, Dr.\ Khaled Zakariah El-Adly, Giza Governor, Prof. Dr.\ Mahmoud Saqr, President of Scientific Research Academy, and Dr.\ Farouk El-Oqda. THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH - Utah now ranks No. 5 for most-friendly bicycle states, according to the League of American Bicyclists. Every year, the League ranks all 50 states on their bikeability.  We do this based on a mutli-faceted Bicycle Friendly State questionnaire that is answered by each state’s Bicycle Coordinator. We look at five categories: Legislation & Enforcement, Policies & Programs, Infrastructure & Funding, Education & Encouragement, and Evaluation & Planning.

92-year-old elementary school pupil inspires a generation in Kenya

She grew up in Kenya under colonial rule, when women didn't get an education. Now in her 90s, Priscilla Sitienei is changing that, attending elementary school -- and inspiring a generation. She started five years ago as a kindergartner at a boarding school near Eldoret. She's in fourth grade today. "I had grandchildren and great-grandchildren who shunned school," she says by phone from Ndalat. "That made me mad. I decided I have to show them that education is important."
