WHO and UNICEF are supporting the Ministry of Health of Vanuatu in implementing a mass measles vaccination campaign. The campaign aims to vaccinate 10,500 children aged between 6 months and 5 years within 1 month.

In the months before cyclone Pam, #Vanuatu had seen a number of #measles cases in young children.
“It is really important to vaccinate against measles because it is highly infectious” noted Dr Clare Huppatz, a WHO epidemiologist.
