Covenant University Ranks Overall Best in Nigeria and West Africa

In the just released webometrics ranking of World Universities (http://webometrics.info/en/Africa/Nigeria) on February 10, 2015, Covenant University emerged overall best in both the webometrics and repositories rankings of universities in Nigeria. Similarly, the University is ranked 12th and 13th positions in both webometrics and repositories in Africa.

2015 BICYCLE FRIENDLY STATE℠ RANKING

THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH - Utah now ranks No. 5 for most-friendly bicycle states, according to the League of American Bicyclists. Every year, the League ranks all 50 states on their bikeability.  We do this based on a mutli-faceted Bicycle Friendly State questionnaire that is answered by each state’s Bicycle Coordinator. We look at five categories: Legislation & Enforcement, Policies & Programs, Infrastructure & Funding, Education & Encouragement, and Evaluation & Planning.

92-year-old elementary school pupil inspires a generation in Kenya

She grew up in Kenya under colonial rule, when women didn't get an education. Now in her 90s, Priscilla Sitienei is changing that, attending elementary school -- and inspiring a generation. She started five years ago as a kindergartner at a boarding school near Eldoret. She's in fourth grade today. "I had grandchildren and great-grandchildren who shunned school," she says by phone from Ndalat. "That made me mad. I decided I have to show them that education is important."
